  I went in there expecting typical crappy Chicago help and service. Instead the guy (possibly the owner) went out of his way to be professional and helpful with a belt issue on my machine. No sales pitch except when I was playing with a roomba irobot vacuum he said he takes 15% off on trade-ins(After I said mine was junk). Decent selection, easy to get to-no hassle parking, able to test out machines, impressive business attitude.

  A shedding puppy necessitated the purchase of a new vacuum. After sourcing recommendations from friends, i found my way to Douglas Vacuum which i pass daily on Clybourn. The owner Steve was very knowledgable and I even though I came in expecting to purchase a Dyson animal model, I left with a Sebo, a brand I had never heard of, which came highly recommended by Steve. Since we have 95% hardwood floors, he said we didn't need a heavy duty carpet model and recommended this brand. It has attachments for upholstery and can convert easily to a hand-held for the stairs. So far my housekeeper, husband and I all like it. We also received a small discount for trading in my broken Shark vacuum.
